Launcher UI fix + easier dedicated server updates

OPEN//77 improved launcher polish and made Cyberpunk 2077 dedicated server updates easier with a new self-updating hosting egg.

Today’s OPEN//77 update is all about friction reduction. Players get a cleaner launcher experience, and future hosts get a much easier way to keep a Cyberpunk 2077 dedicated server up to date.

Cleaner launcher layout for everyday use

The player-facing change today is in the launcher. At certain window sizes, the account area in the top bar could space itself awkwardly and let the profile chevron crowd the navigation area near the PLAY button. It was a small visual issue, but the kind that makes an app feel less polished every time you notice it.

That layout has now been tightened up. The account name area adjusts more naturally, which keeps the chevron attached to the account section instead of drifting into the rest of the top bar. The result is simple: the launcher looks cleaner and feels more intentional when signing in, checking your account, and starting the game.

For a project like a Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mod, these UI paper cuts matter. Players will spend a lot of time in the launcher before jumping into Night City, so even small interface fixes help the whole platform feel more stable and ready.

Easier hosting for Cyberpunk 2077 dedicated servers

The bigger infrastructure improvement today is for server owners. OPEN//77 now has an official self-updating Pterodactyl egg for game servers.

In practical terms, that means a hosted server can pull the newest Open77 build automatically when it starts, instead of relying on as many manual update steps. For people planning to run a Cyberpunk 2077 RP server or any other custom server setup, that lowers the day-to-day maintenance burden.

Just as important, the update flow is designed to keep important server data in place across updates. Configuration and server-side data are preserved, so updating does not feel like rebuilding your environment from scratch every time a new build drops.

That matters because OPEN//77 is still moving quickly. During active development, frequent updates are normal. Making the update path easier now helps future hosts stay current with less downtime and less guesswork.

Why this matters for OPEN//77

This was not a feature-heavy day, but it was still a valuable one.

A good launcher sets the tone for the whole Cyberpunk 2077 online experience. If the app is clean, readable, and predictable, players feel that quality before they even hit PLAY. The account menu fix is a small change, but it removes one more rough edge from the path into the game.

On the hosting side, better update flow is one of the most important foundations for a healthy multiplayer ecosystem. Server owners need dependable tools, especially if they want to focus on communities, events, moderation, or roleplay instead of babysitting updates. The new official hosting egg is a step toward that smoother future.

The short version

Today’s work makes OPEN//77 easier to use on both ends:

  • the launcher top bar behaves better and looks cleaner
  • hosted servers have a more streamlined official update path
  • important server data is preserved during updates

That is the kind of boring-in-a-good-way progress that helps a Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer platform mature. No giant headline feature today β€” just less friction, fewer annoyances, and a smoother road toward Night City online.
