Smoother cars, cleaner servers, better status checks
OPEN//77 improves Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer with smoother vehicle sync, positional audio, crash hotfixes, and better dedicated server status queries.

OPEN//77 made a solid quality pass across the core multiplayer experience this week. The latest work improves how vehicles and remote players look in motion, adds better world-positioned audio for other players, and gives Cyberpunk 2077 dedicated server owners a cleaner way to expose server status to listing sites.
Smoother motion in Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer
A big part of making a Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mod feel good is presentation. Even when the underlying simulation is correct, rough steering updates or unstable remote look direction can make other players feel "off" in motion.
This update improves steering presentation for vehicles and stabilizes replicated movement and remote view/look behavior. In plain terms: when another player drives past you, turns a corner, or looks around during combat, the result should feel more believable and less jittery.
The team also continued tuning drive-by and combat presentation. Vehicle firefights are one of those moments where small sync problems become very obvious very quickly. Keeping that readable and cinematic matters a lot for the long-term feel of Night City online.
Better sound positioning for remote players
Another player-facing upgrade is spatialized remote ability audio. Sounds triggered by other players now do a better job of feeling attached to a real place in the world.
That matters more than it might seem on paper. Good positional audio helps combat readability, makes crowds of players easier to parse, and adds a lot to immersion in Cyberpunk 2077 online. When an ability goes off across the street or behind a car, it should sound like it happened there.
Hotfixes for loot and crashes
The latest unstable release snapshots also included a loot fix and a crash hotfix. These are not flashy headline features, but they are exactly the kind of changes that make test sessions go from frustrating to useful.
There was also tested work around loading-screen flow and native seat switching. Both are important building blocks for a smoother co-op and RP experience, especially in a game where vehicles and transitions between spaces happen constantly.
Cleaner server UI and better dedicated server visibility
On the user interface side, server addresses are now hidden by default in the connection and pause screens. For most players, this simply makes the UI cleaner and less noisy. For server communities, it is also a more polished default presentation.
For server owners, the more important addition is a new public HTTP status query. This gives ranking sites and server lists a standard way to check whether an OPEN//77 server is up and gather public status information.
That is a practical step forward for the Cyberpunk 2077 dedicated server ecosystem. Better external visibility means easier discovery, healthier communities, and a smoother path for server owners who want their Cyberpunk 2077 RP server or co-op world to appear on public listings.
Release tracking and download monitoring improvements
The website and platform were updated to keep pace with the latest stable release records and to monitor the release CDN more accurately. Players may never notice those changes directly, but they help the release pipeline stay reliable.
That means healthier download checks, better release visibility, and more confidence that the latest builds are being tracked and served correctly.
Why this update matters
This was not a giant feature-drop week. It was a quality week, and those are just as important for OPEN//77.
A good Cyberpunk 2077 co-op or multiplayer experience depends on hundreds of small details feeling right at the same time: how a car turns, how a player looks around, where a sound appears to come from, whether a server can be discovered, and whether a test build stays stable long enough to actually test.
This batch of changes pushes all of those in the right direction. The result is a version of OPEN//77 that looks cleaner, sounds better, and lays stronger groundwork for the public-facing server ecosystem to grow.
